Congratulations to the 2016 Boys Swim & Dive Team for being recognized as #2 in the National HS Power Rankings.

After the season, Coach Kelly compiled her best dual meet line-up.  Each time and diving score is assigned a power point ranking. These are all added up for a combined team total and submitted to NISCA. They rank the schools by size and private or public. EP competes in Class 1 (Big Public School).

Back & Boston Earn Top Honors

Congratulations to Griffin Back and Coach Kelly Boston for being recognized as the best in the state by the Minnesota HS Coaches Association.  Back was voted as the Swimmer of the Year and Boston as the Boys HS Coach of the Year.

The Eagles scored 335 points en route to their sixth MSHSL Boys “AA” Swim & Dive State Title and third championship in five years. EP set two All-Time state records^ in the 200 Medley Relay (1:30.70), 100 Freestyle (44.74), an “AA” record** in the 100 Butterfly (48.56) and a school* record in the 50 Free (20.42).

EP will be well represented at the MNSHL State Swim & Dive Championships this Thurs - Sat at the U of M Aquatic Center by advancing all 3 Relays, 3 Divers and 17 Swims.  The Eagles set 3 EPHS school records and 7 Meet & Pool records.  Jordan Greenberg swam the fastest 50 Freestyle in school history (20.52); eclipsing his brother's record of 20.65 set in 2013.  Although state records can only be achieved at the state championships, the 200 Medley Relay time of 1:31.74 is a new EPHS school record and the fastest time ever swam in Minnesota HS competition; 0.44 faster than EP's State Record established in 2013.  Thursday evening Peter Hegland set a new 11 Dive School Record with a total of 448 points.  Below is a summary of all records established during Section 2AA competition:
